The position of Planner/Scheduler Maintenance is within our Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit located at all sites under Abbott Diagnostics Scarborough QMS. This role will be responsible for the administration of the Production Maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order process.

What You'll Do

  • Receive/review/enter work orders into the CMMS determining urgency and priority status and updating/correcting descriptive content and trade assignments as needed.
  • Using established criteria, assign estimated completion time and trade identification to all work orders.
  • Coordinate with Manager, Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, and others to determine priority and assign work orders. Assists in assessing skill level matches what is necessary to complete the task.
  • CMMS primary systems contact and interface.
  • Initiate specific work orders and instructions regarding the handling and installation of manufacturing and research equipment.
  • Support the scheduling and assignment of Preventative Maintenance (PM) Activities as required which includes initiating new PM activity work orders.
  • Create and maintain monthly work order activity reports for management.
  • Order maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment as needed to support upcoming projects and scheduled maintenance.
  • Assist/responsible for identifying replacement systems and coordinating test and trial programs with potential suppliers and/or work directly with software developers to identify, develop and build new, enhanced systems.
  • Responsible for keeping the CMMS System database up to date, accurate, and in audit ready condition. Add/Delete assets and develop the Preventative Maintenance schedule for all new and existing manufacturing equipment assets.
  • Represent the Production Maintenance organization during Regulatory audits by providing an accurate delivery of PM records.
  • Assist with Training and Development activities to Maintenance Team as it pertains to the use of the CMMS system.
  • Assist in developing and sustaining the inventory management program.
  • Assist/responsible for scheduling contractor service management activities resulting in improved vendor performance.
  • Primary contact and customer interface for on-going contact with internal customers for work order questions, issues and scheduling. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. May be responsible for identifying and implementing quality, process and service improvements.
  • On-going and/or special project interfacing with Internal Customers, Vendors, Contractors, Employee Health Services (EHS), Move Add Change (MAC) Team members, Telecommunications, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Prior experience working within a regulated industry.
  • Strong collaboration, team working skills and communication skills.
  • Independently motivated and detail oriented with good problem-solving ability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in 5S, FDA documentation, and any other quality programs.
  • Trade licenses and/or Associates Degree in related field

  • Must be computer-literate and willing to learn and utilize proficiently CMMS and other software packages associated with the position.
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in a wide range of units using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

The base pay for this position is $26.30 – $52.60 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
