Job Description

The Manager Material Review, Marketing Operations facilitates the management of Advertising & Promotional materials as they pertain to the U.S. Commercial MRP (Material Review Process). This role will lead the facilitation of a cross-functional team (Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, Legal, Compliance, others) for review and approval of advertising, promotional, sales training and promotional labeling materials.

This is a hybrid role and requires the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the review process for promotional and non-promotional materials that are routed through the MRP process
  • Communicate effectively ensuring alignment across the MLR team and Marketing Operations
  • Oversee release of approved materials for distribution
  • Leads management of a large cross functional team and working directly with internal and external advertising agencies
  • Tactical support and project timeline oversight of materials through MRP
  • Lead consultant and trainer on the MRP, supporting to all team members responsible for uploading and approving materials
  • Management and development a staff of project managers
  • Proactively looks for and leads ways to improve agility by streamlining and simplifying internal process and drives implementation of process changes
  • Attend brand and tactical planning meetings to understand upcoming workload to plan and communicate outward

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7+ years Project Management or equivalent experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry highly preferred
  • Subject matter expert in understanding the material review process and associated policies and systems
  • Strong expertise in Veeva PromoMats; working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat; MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Experience in print and digital formats
  • Knowledge and prior experience in marketing, and communication or advertising agency
  • Lead or participate in a product launch initiative
  • Possesses ability to learn and adapt to other software tools as necessary
