Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Stockroom Inventory is responsible for daily floor activity in the Maintenance Stockroom. This includes: Receiving and picking parts, following up with vendors, serving customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving incoming materials, picking parts, completing put aways, cycle counting inventory, and adding new parts to Maximo and SAP as per MEP Methodology and current finance procedures.
  • Review incoming materials for accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Generate SURI Documentation as required.
  • Work with vendors to remediate part, documentation, shipping, and payment issues.
  • Add new parts to the system in a timely fashion to ensure high customer service.
  • Support all inventory audits, Cycle Counts, Picking Performance and Wall to Wall.
  • Process all return to vendor due to over shipping or incorrect item in support of the PSM Department.
  • Prepare and publish Receiving and Stockroom weekly metrics.

Significant Work Activities

  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
  • Continuous walking for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required
  • Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weights of more than 20 lbs/9 kgs on a daily basis is required

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in warehousing, distribution, and customer service preferred.
  • Excellent customer service with good verbal and written
    communication skills are necessary to interact with internal customers to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Must understand and possess a working knowledge of all key processes in the
    Stockroom. Good computer skills and basic math skills are required to manage inventory.
  • Responsible for completing all work processes and computer transactions in an accurate, safe, and timely manner. It is imperative that the incumbent understands and
    incorporates all Corporate and Departmental Operating Procedures. If an
    error or incident occurs it could result in product availability issues, delayed projects, down time, IDOT, OSHA, or regulatory compliance observations and/or fines.
  • Availability to work weekends, overtime and holidays according to business needs.
