Job Description
- Draft, align, negotiate and finalize a various range of service, collaboration and general commercial contracts with a large monetary volume and/or potential legal risk exposure including but not limited to the supply marketing and commercialization of AA products
- External counsels management including quality assurance, budget considerations and fee negotiations
- Actionable advice on commercial policies for the interaction with a large and diverse group of customers with a focus on European and German, Alpine, Poland and CEBA competition law
- Assist with the local implementation of mergers, acquisition and following company integration projects
- Monitor, anticipate and report changes to the applicable legislation that are of direct or indirect interest to the organization
- Lead and manage litigation matters to defend and support the AA business on commercial claims and disputes with competitors and/or other third parties, with specific regards to the advertising and promotion of medical devices and prescription pharmaceuticals
- Perform secondary IP work, in coordination with Corporate IP Department and International/Global dedicated expert teams
- Regularly provide reports on legal matters to International Legal Department and as required attends international Legal meetings and other initiatives
- racking and reporting of local legal budget in the respective countries, including external counsel spend
- Serve as an active member of the AA Leadership Team in Germany, Alpine, Poland and CEBA and potentially other countries, providing thought leadership on legal risk and report on relevant legislative developments with pragmatic solutions to complex and yet unexplored business situations.
Qualifications
- Experience in Medical Aesthetics industry acting as in-house counsel and member of the local leadership team
- Proven track record of several years of legal practice, including pragmatic business support in a complex and competitive business environment, preferably in in a consumer-facing pharma and/or medical device business
- Extensive knowledge of Antitrust Law and legal concepts
- Requires ability to take complex business situations and develop solutions to ensure compliant business activities
- Hands-on attitude
- Ability to work cross-functionally & cross-border and manage complexity is a must
- Structured and process oriented, business-minded
- Endorses and acts according to AA values and leadership behaviours
- Ability to identify and address issues proactively in a timely manner
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, fluent in German and English (written and oral)
