Job Description
Purpose:
Lead and drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of the Specialty business unit in Saudi Arabia. Align all initiatives with AbbVie's global vision and local market dynamics, ensuring that patient-centric solutions and innovative treatments are at the forefront of all efforts. Cultivate a high-performing, agile team capable of navigating complex market landscapes and delivering sustained business growth while adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct, compliance, and corporate responsibility.
Responsibilities

Commercial Operations Strategy and Execution:
- Build and manage commercial operations strategy and execution to achieve or exceed the respective Plan targets.
- Oversee the strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with corporate goals and to drive excellence in execution across all brands.

Business and Financial Processes:
- Hold accountability for allocated Brand P&L in terms of brand sales and financial planning (Financial Plan, Update, Long Range Plan).
- Review, challenge, and validate outputs from commercial models to incorporate realistic and ambitious objectives into the plan book.
- Set future direction for existing and new / to be launched products and business opportunities to seize maximum business results for the whole business unit portfolio with the aim to continuously reinforce Abbvie presence as a partner of choice with the local organizations/ stakeholders.

Leadership and Team Coordination:
- Serve as a member of the Affiliate Management Team, role-model AbbVie’s Ways We Work (WWW) behavior.
- Lead the Specialty organization towards a shared vision and purpose to drive business results.
- Enable the Brand Team matrix to achieve high-quality strategy and execution capability across all allocated brands.
- Liaise with relevant Area and Global functions to integrate Global and Area strategy / tactics into the local brand planning strategy and execution and to facilitate the development and alignment of global and area brand vision and strategic objectives.

Talent Management and Development:
- Coach and develop top talent; set goals, conduct succession planning, and execute performance management agendas to align people performance with business goals and KPIs.
- Foster a high-performance culture by managing and developing both high performers and addressing underperformance.

External Representation:
- Act as a representative of AbbVie to external stakeholders, promoting AbbVie as a patient-centric and preferred healthcare partner.
- Build a sustainable AbbVie brand image by engaging with key external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Specialty Knowledge. Additional Therapeutic Knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in multinational environment.
- English and Arabic language proficiency verbally and in writing.
- Saudi and/or Gulf Markets experience.
Critical Experiences:
- Commercial Success: Proven track record managing multi-product portfolios and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strategic Planning: Experience in building strategic plans for long-term growth and sustainability.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Significant experience in various stages of the product lifecycle (from launch to retirement).
- Multi-Market Experience: Multi-market experience; has led businesses with international presence and influenced/led across cultures.
- Global Marketing: A plus is global or area marketing leadership role.
