JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced ERP Release Management Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing releases to business applications in a pharmaceutical environment, coordinating with multiple vendors, internal stakeholders, and IT partners. This role requires expertise in handling multiple environments and developing roadmaps for releases and changes. Currently the focus is our new Global ERP-based Program for the Microsoft Platform D365. Moving from independent solutions at our sites around the world to a Global Solution that will be rolled out. The Release Management Specialist will continually work with key business stakeholders to align and increase quality and performance for our Platform and the evolution of it. This position involves working with multiple functional groups (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.), so managing multiple stakeholders is essential, and strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. This position will be key in setting the Global standard for Good Operating Practice, which is a key element for a successful maintenance and improvement of the ERP platform and fundamental for AGC Biologics to grow on.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the release lifecycle for business applications, ensuring timely and successful delivery of software updates and enhancements.
  • Coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new releases.
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps for releases and changes, aligning with business objectives and timelines.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including various business groups, IT, and external partners, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate with IT partners to ensure the stability and performance of the ERP system across various environments.
  • Oversee the deployment of releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of releases, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for release management in a pharmaceutical environment.

QUALIFICATION SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in release management, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and their deployment in multiple environments.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain detailed roadmaps for releases and changes.
  • Experience working with multiple vendors and coordinating complex release schedules.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and IT partners.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for release management.

Preferred:

  • Experience with specific ERP systems used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Certification in project management or release management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
