Job Description

  • High potential leader ready to lead a team of ~30 technical product representatives (Product Specialists) of Liquid Chromatography & Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC&LCMS).

  • This will develop and lead regional LC&LCMS growth strategies and programs with team members to achieve regional financial targets as well as strong LC growth by outpacing market growth in the collaboration with partner organizations including Marketing, Customer Service organization, SSD/CSD sales and others through maximizing customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and customer life-time value.

  • Focus on product specialization and workflow solution to differentiate Agilent in the market is highly necessary to meet evolving market needs and to give a sense of security and confidence in our strategy.

  • Geographical accountability will be in South Asia, Japan & Korea but becoming a strong collaboration and cooperation bridge with India and other global organizations such as Solution Unit, AFO, EMEA, China is crucial to differentiate Agilent solutions vs. competitors and to lead the specialization optimization for regional LC&LCMS business.

  • In addition, this role will be a strong advocate and partner of the smooth and efficient Channel Evolution Journey and related initiatives, which will require different levels of specialization depending on the customer buying journey to lead & drive medium to long-term business plans.

  • Finally, this role requires strong leadership to grow next level technical talents which will be equipped with development and demonstration capability of scientific workflow solutions as well as economic workflow solutions for customers to differentiate Agilent in the competitive market.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate undergraduate degree required; advanced business degree with emphasis on marketing/market management required. MBA or PhD a plus

  • Demonstrated track record of managing multi-functional responsibilities within a global company.

  • A proven track record of profitable sales and market growth to be demonstrated over a sustained period

  • Direct people management and sales management experience

  • Experience with product commercialization and application development

  • Proven track record of successful change management initiatives

  • Proven track record of process and workflow improvements across organizations and sales channels

  • Experience in building and leading a multi-functional team, cross-cultural exposure & leadership

  • Excellent organization and planning skills

  • Strong negotiation and enterprise-level sales management skills.

  • Demonstrated management, leadership, and teambuilding skills within a complex cross-functional matrix organization

  • Hands-on results, results-oriented experience in the creation and execution of successful sales plans

  • Demonstrated organizational development and collaboration skills are required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • A robust and strategic thinker who is process-oriented, obsessed with continuous improvement, manages by fact, and has excellent conceptual skills demonstrated through disciplined, succinct communication.

  • Demonstrated leadership in a cross-functional environment with the ability to lead, influence, and shape opinion among a peer group of senior managers.

  • Outstanding communication skills with an ability to clearly and crisply communicate complex issues such as Agilent's strategies, product plans, and channel and brand management programs.

  • Passion for talent development with the ability to select and grow high-potential employees who will contribute to the growth of Agilent organization in the region.

  • Strong drive for growth and success, highly driven with good maturity level
