    Our Agilent site in Waldbronn, near Karlsruhe, is looking for a qualified Technical Product Manager (m/f/d) to join our Marketing team for the Liquid Chromatography (LC) product line. This full-time, multifaceted role involves managing requirements to lead the definition and development of LC/CE (Capillary Electrophoresis) instrument drivers, as well as providing product software support for the Liquid Phase Separations Division’s (LPSD) instrument control products (Driver/Firmware).

    • Product ownership according to the Agile/ Scrum framework for LPSD instrument control components

    • Requirements management in a cross-functional team to lead the definition and development of LC/CE instrument drivers and liaise with partner divisions.

    • Engage in Product Software support for the LPSD instrument control products (Driver/Firmware)

    • Interacting with Agilent's Software and Instrument Businesses to ensure support of HPLC instrument control in adjacent or complementary products (Chromatography or Mass Spectrometry Data System CDS/MDS).

    • Analyzing the competition landscape, investigating market trends and opportunities, determine product positioning and help plan the development of our future products.

    • Create sales collaterals and training material of your products for the field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master Degree or University in Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, etc.) or 2-4 years equivalent work experience (e.g. general Analytical Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Lab, Food-/Environmental Lab) or equivalent.

  • The ideal candidate has hands-on Chromatography experience.

  • Familiar with state-of-the-art analytical lab techniques and principal laboratory workflows spanning sample preparation/ analysis and data analysis.

  • Familiarity with Agilent hardware and software, or similar products, is a plus

  • Excellent oral and written skills in English & German and experienced in writing project documentation.

  • Good communicator, able to optimally negotiate and advertise ideas, concepts and products.

  • Ability to negotiate and advertise ideas and proposals efficiently in a team or with peers outside of a team.

  • Creative and innovative thinker who generates original ideas to enhance processes, while maintaining a practical understanding of economic constraints and feasibility.

  • Optimal track record to work effectively in a Team and take over leadership in project- or product management.

  • IT savvy with a basic knowledge of software or programming in a broader sense.

  • Formal training in Agile-/Scrum workflows for product (software) development is a plus.

  • You have spent some time in your career outside Europe or at least worked with an international team.
