Agilent's facilities in Northern Colorado serve customers oligo API needs for nucleic acid-based therapeutics. The cGMP facility located in Boulder houses multiple suites enabling the manufacture of several products simultaneously. A broad range of synthesis and purification equipment allows for production for toxicology and preclinical use to late-stage clinical trials and commercial launch. Our cGMP facility located in Frederick, Colorado, has enabled us to more than double our clinical/commercial manufacturing capacity for nucleic acid-based therapeutics and construction is underway that will further double our capacity again. Reporting to the Global Vice President of Workplace Services, you will be part of a progressive global function that combines internal expertise with global strategic suppliers to deliver a broad range of site services and strategy that encompasses major construction projects, facilities management, security, Environmental Health and Safety, and associated site services. The Frederick site is currently undergoing a $750m expansion with the addition of two additional manufacturing trains and the successful candidate will be expected to be the primary team lead for the construction project.

Ideally, you will have 12+ years of experience in a similar role within a cGMP manufacturing environment of a multinational company, including experience of leading major greenfield construction projects of $0.5B and above. You will have the ability to understand complex chemical cGMP environments and have the technical background as a chemical or mechanical engineer to support your team and fully engage with our external suppliers. You will be a forward-thinking, dynamic Workplace leader to provide vision, leadership, and guidance to ensure the highest levels of effectiveness and engagement. You will be used to operating at the executive level and be very comfortable with advocating positions, streamlining complex information, and presenting it to an executive audience.

As part of the global WPS leadership team, you will be expected to provide cGMP experience and best practices to help support the broader organization and cGMP facilities outside of Colorado. While the primary focus is on our activities in Colorado, future accountabilities will include our recent acquisition in Canada and may expand to other cGMP facilities in the world. You will have the aspiration to continue to grow your role within the US and internationally.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years work in facility management and construction positions in an advanced bio-pharmaceutical cGMP environment

  • Experience in leading construction projects $0.5B+ in greenfield cGMP environments and large process implementation in a validated facility

  • Experience of Process Safety Management standards

  • Chemical or mechanical engineer

  • Experienced in operational accountability for 24x7 cGMP facilities

  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, facilities management, and project management in cGMP manufacturing

  • Experiences in management of large capital and operational financial budgets

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least December 20, 2024 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $171,600.00 - $268,125.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
