We are currently looking for a Pre- Sales LC-MS Application Specialist (m/f/d) to join the Application Team in Waldbronn, Germany.
You will be a part of a professional team of Application Specialists in the Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group spread over four different Center of Excellences across Europe.
You will work closely with the Sales Team and other Application Specialists to support the sales process by developing applications as well as demonstrating our instrumentation & workflows to customers addressing their analytical needs according to the market situation. You will be the expert of our analytical workflows and applications for the related products. It is therefore important that you are technically strong, proactive, communicative and a team player.
Your responsibilities:
- Application Development: Create and/or optimize existing methods for customer samples, seamlessly transferring them to Agilent instruments. Showcase the performance of Agilent's LC-MS portfolio to our customers at our CoE in Waldbronn.
- Customer Engagement: Understand customer challenges, recommend tailored solutions, and ensure their satisfaction.
- Strong Sales focus: Understand sales process and work together with sales team to exceed LC-MS sales targets.
- Effective Communication: Present your findings and results to customers at scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and user meetings. Travel to customer sites for impactful presentations, method implementation, consultancy, and training.
- Sales Enablement and Success: Contribute to designing and delivering LC-MS technology and workflow sales training.
- Market Insights: Be the go-to expert, both internally (with our product and marketing teams) and externally (with customers and key opinion leaders).
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with R&D to shape the future of LC-MS technologies and applications, and incorporate customer requirements into upcoming products.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain and expand critical domain knowledge by keeping up with scientific findings, market & technology trends, industry benchmarks, regulations, and competitive positioning.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
- A master’s degree or equivalent (PhD preferred) with a strong focus on instrumental analysis and method development.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience (5+ years) with LC-MS QQQ and LC-MS Q technology, emphasizing applications.
- Demonstrated experience running LC-MS experiments within the Applied Market context.
- Considered a plus: Familiarity with related analytical software products, and/ or LC-MS automation products.
- Fluent in verbal and written English; German language skills would be a plus.
Apart from these more technical skills and qualifications, you should also bring the following:
- Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently on projects, whilst also collaborating as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, well-organized and the ability to meet deadlines while handling several different projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel (throughout Europe) up to 25% of the time.
