Successful candidates will possess an in-depth understanding of the sample prep market, products, and competitive environment. By working cross-functionally with manufacturing, research and development (R&D), and sales teams, the Sample Preparation Product Manager will coordinate the development and commercialization of sample preparation solutions and workflows to achieve financial targets. Additionally, the Sample Preparation Product Manager will bring valuable market and customer insights to the team as well as execute our strategy via operational tactics to deliver key business results.

This is a key role managing the Agilent Sample Preparation Consumable Products portfolio. It involves the following activities:
Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with industry leaders, gathering voice-of-customer input, and translating customer needs into future product development requirements
Evaluating business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and in-depth understanding of targeted markets, market trends, customer business issues, and the competitive environment
Conducting analyses to determine product positioning, market segmentation, channel mix, pricing, demand, and product service/support strategy
Creating compelling marketing campaigns and collateral to highlight value propositions and differentiation
Working in a cross-functional team to align vision and build momentum across marketing, R&D, finance, manufacturing, and customer support
Building business cases for new investment opportunities backed by data-driven forecast models, and presenting them to division senior management
Developing close relationships with a global sales team, and supporting them through generation of customer-facing material, delivering sales training for new and existing products, attending scientific conferences, and visiting customer sites
Conducting cadenced business reviews to divisional senior management and sales teams that provide insight to business results, obstacles, and opportunities

A successful product manager requires a strong sense of ownership for their portfolio. You will be encouraged to think ambitiously, ask questions, and voice your ideas. Qualifications
Bachelors, Masters, or equivalent University Degree
8+ years relevant experience with sample preparation or associated technology, marketing/sales, or a combination thereof
In-depth knowledge of sample preparation products, procedures, and key applications
Familiarity with key markets such as food safety, environmental, and/or life science research
Proven ability to set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines and deliver to commitments
Prior experience managing product lifecycle and new product introductions
Ability to distill complex technology and scientific information into clear marketing messages
Compelling presentation skills including creation of visual aids and delivering concise narrative
This job requires up to 25% domestic and international travel to drive business outcomes
What will make you stand out:
Experience with gas chromatography (GC), liquid chromatography (LC), and mass spectrometry (MS)
Experience with sample preparation automation, including advanced instrumentation workflows
Expertise in PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), with a deep understanding of their analysis and applications
Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to deliver on commitments
Working and communicating in a worldwide, cross functional team environment
Proactive work ethic and ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills
Experience with SEO and digital content optimization & management

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least May 1, 2025 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $133,120.00 - $208,000.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
