What you will do

In this vital role The Senior Associate Supply Chain II will support the Amgen Thousand Oaks Dispensing Team by driving tasks related to processing materials necessary for the Manufacture of biopharmaceutical goods. In this role you will be an established professional who is a self-starter, capable of applying process knowledge and creativity to complete complex assignments related to the overall Supply Chain operations, in addition to being a team lead and managing external workers. You will support activities related to picking and dispensing of raw materials and/or any other tasks and activities in support of Dispensing within the ATO31 warehouse areas. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Serve as a liaison to the Front-Line Manager and Sr Manager Supply Chain
  • Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and departmental policies with strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)
  • Support and identify calling out potential risks associated with dispensing activities.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in completing operational activities associated with dispensing.
  • Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives, programs, and projects.
  • Actively participate in Work Center Team efforts as well as Safety programs.
  • Provides support during corporate, partner, regulatory inspections and be ready to present information to auditors (as required).
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, identifying and reporting operational issues and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify roadblocks, bringing effective solutions to area management for resolution.
  • Maintain Kanban system for consumables.
  • Support ATO internal/external warehouse operation teams and all associated tasks
  • Complete all transactions in a prompt and correct manner.

Must be available to work various shifts as needed (day, swing, weekends, holidays) as dictated by the production schedule.

Able to regularly lift up to 35lbs, push and pull objects that require up to 50lbs of force, and work on your feet for long durations.

Able to perform the list of physical movements that may be necessary to perform daily functions on the production floor

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school/GED + 4 years Warehouse or Supply Chain experience OR
  • Associate’s + 2 years Warehouse or Supply Chain experience OR
  • Bachelor’s + 6 months Warehouse or Supply Chain experience OR
  • Master's

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Polished GMP professional with Shipping, Dispensing, Warehousing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Quality equivalent experience
  • Ability to use and create digital tools
  • Oversight experience or support for 3rd party services
  • Workforce planning, shift planning, or support of those activities
  • QMTS (Quality TrackWise System) knowledge, supporting deviation investigations including initiating and owning minor deviations.
  • Support metrics gathering, prepare reports and present findings to area management.
  • Assist with internal operational excellence projects.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheets, Teams, Tableau, Office Suites

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
