What you will do
Drive for Commercial Excellence
Review (and co-create) partner’s annual business plan and provide Amgen’s inputs and feedbacks at portfolio level
Closely monitor partner’s market performance, provide improvement recommendations, and perform business deep-dive diagnosis if necessary
Drives commercial operations excellence in supervising partner execution as well as OPEX spending at portfolio level
Assist internal key deliverables for emerging markets, quarterly forecast, annual budgeting, partner target setting, long range plans, etc
Enhance Alliance Management
Improve joint working models between partner and Amgen by keeping cadence of interaction among x-functional teams on both sides
Design and implement governing structure to navigate the processes on both partner and Amgen end to deliver financial and operational achievements
Liaise with partner regional team for joint steering committee planning and execution
Work with partner local team in setting up monthly and quarterly performance review meetings
Work with partner in setting up launch readiness review based on mutually agreed cadence
Perform Pipeline Planning
Assess and prioritize pipeline opportunities in emerging markets to identify the top priority assets
Perform case assessment to support CtF (commit to file) and CtL (commit to launch) processes
Work with broader x-functional team to secure pipeline development and registration achievements in emerging markets, e.g., regional pricing approvals, as well as identify acceleration opportunities
Work with partners and lead launch readiness planning from L-36 to L-6
Support country launch readiness by setting up and tracking the progress against defined achievements, critical metrics
Lead Cross-function Case Assessment
Lead cases for in-line/pipeline in emerging markets for CtF, CtL, upside cases, PSP programs, pricing approvals, etc with inputs from EM marketing manager as well as cross-functional teams
Optimize Go-to-Market Models
Assist in evaluating optimal go-to-market models, commercial capabilities and investment to improve Amgen’s ability to unleash the full potential of emerging markets
Assist in developing country commercial roadmap and perform case assessment
Participate in and contribute to the taskforce of implementing go-to-market model change
Lead Business Development
Lead commercial/business development analysis and opportunity evaluations across emerging markets
Work with x-functional team in making proper addendum to existing distribution agreement (e.g., annual target update and/or supply price change) and OPEX spending MSAs

What we expect of you
Qualifications
Strong academic credentials in science and/ or business administration from a recognized university
Minimum of 7 years professional experience in comparable roles in pharma/biotech companies, or compelling life sciences commercial experience in consulting company
Relevant experience in scoping and executing cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations, collaborating with global, region and local levels, and in managing multiple initiatives at once
Strong qualitative/quantitative analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Hands on experience of case evaluation and financial modelling
Strong leadership and cross-functional influencing skills
Highly developed oral and written communication skills (incl. presentation development)
Pro-active “self-starter” with results-oriented workstyle and the ability to deliver quality results in a timely manner
Fluency in English, Chinese is a plus
Country commercial customer facing experience
Top consulting company experience is a plus
