Entry Level IS Business Systems Analyst

As an Associate Business Systems Analyst at Amgen, you will support the analysis, design, and implementation of information systems solutions to meet business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document system requirements, perform system testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide end-user support. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong technical acumen will contribute to the successful delivery of IT projects and the continuous improvement of business processes.
Responsibilities Include
Develop and update user documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), design documents, operational diagrams, manuals, and more
Developing process maps and flowcharts to visualize current processes and identify inefficiencies.
Work in the creation of test cases and test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Work as Business Analyst for core and innovation technologies
Work closely with the delivery and platform teams to ensure that the applications are aligned with standard city planning approved architectural and development guidelines
Collaborate with business partners to understand how automation can improve workflow and productivity
Synthesize requirements from end-users, application architects, and cybersecurity experts to develop the best automation solutions.
Work closely with other business and IS Process Engineers to identify opportunities to stop inefficient practices, simplify business processes, and codify into automated solutions and platforms.

Bachelor’s degree
Associate’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems/business analysis experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 6 years of information systems/business analysis experience Requirement 1
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field
Industry experience with Internet of Things (IoT) and process monitoring sensors, especially with packaging
Experience with one or more of this software solutions: Korber PAS|X, AVEVA PI, Systech, Rockwell, Swisslog
System Integration knowledge - networking/firewall rules, communication protocols (MQTT, OPC, TCP/IP, HTTP), Building/connecting to API's
AWS Services - IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, Sagemaker
Database Knowledge - SQL, Timeseries, NoSQL
Data Visualization knowledge - PI Vision, Grafana, Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, Smartsheet
Manufacturing Domain Knowledge - Familiarity with data acquisition from industrial equipment (e.g., PLCs, SCADA systems)
Proficiency in any General-purpose programming language - C++, Java, Python, JavaScript
Automation - Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to automate data extraction, processing, and reporting tasks
Experience with System management, including setting up and maintaining Servers, Access to these servers
Some Web Dev Experience - HTML, CSS, JavaScript for Frontend and Node js, Python for Backend
Experience or working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), 21CFR Part 11 regulations, change control, validation.
Ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new platforms, languages, tools and technologies

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
