The Project: Shipment Visibility and Customer Experience

Amgen is rolling out a global transport management system (TMS) to revolutionize how we manage transportation information and events. This system will replace static tools like offline communication and Excel sheets with real-time interaction and data-driven insights. The goal is to improve logistics performance and elevate the experience for our customers and, ultimately, the patients we serve.

As part of this exciting initiative, you will play a critical role in identifying gaps in Amgen’s current approach, benchmarking industry best practices, and steering the development of future strategies to enhance shipment visibility and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

• Identify customer delighters: Understand what features of enhanced shipment visibility will most benefit customers.
• Benchmark capabilities: Compare Amgen’s TMS approach to industry peers and leaders, both within and outside the healthcare sector.
• Evaluate the implementation process: Critically review Amgen’s strategy for implementing the TMS.
• Shape the strategy: Contribute to the development of Amgen’s shipment visibility tools, ensuring they align with customer expectations and healthcare logistics best practices.
• Develop diverse skills: Gain hands-on experience in supply chain logistics, system implementation, and data-driven decision-making.

• A monthly allowance of €750 (based on 4-5 days per week).
• Commute reimbursement: 100% for public transport (2nd class) or €0.29 per km (up to 35 km one way).

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Education Level: HBO/WO Master's students (all disciplines welcome).
• Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • Interest in logistics, data analytics, or healthcare innovation.
• Availability: 4-5 days per week, with hybrid working options.
