Inflammation Global Marketing Director

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. This position is US based and is within the Inflammation Therapeutic Area of Global Marketing, & Access (GMA) organization. The Global Marketing Director is a critical role in the organization and has a significant impact in driving strategy & execution of our products. The Global Marketing Director is responsible for maximizing the value of a peri-launch asset within key indications, providing commercial guidance and vision, developing global launch strategies, anticipating patient impact expansion opportunities to enhance the customer experience and competitive position, and optimizing the impact of marketing budgets.

The areas of responsibility for this role include:

  • Lead the development of clear and differentiated marketing strategies and actionable plans to support a peri-launch asset.

  • Working with the Global Marketing Lead and commercial insights leads to gather deep insights into the customer, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers to develop a “gold standard” commercial strategy designed to optimize the future value of a peri-launch asset

  • Key contributor to the Integrated Brand team and global marketing activities while driving global with local market engagement.

  • Shape marketing deliverables on time and of the expected high quality in alignment with Amgen’s processes and requirements. These include contributions to Global Product Strategy, brand planning, launch readiness, competitive insights, patient-centric deliverables, robust Target Product Profiles, forecasts, and strategies to enhance program value including patient impact expansion opportunities.

  • Develop launch tactics in partnership with global markets

  • Commissions and manages market research in partnership with Commercial Data & Analytics (cDNA)

  • Works with Competitive Intelligence to closely monitor the competitive landscape and its implications for Amgen’s strategy

  • Partners with Forecasting and Finance to develop long-range sales and operating expense projections

  • Leads creation of aligned narratives for internal and external communication

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience

OR

Master’s degree and 7 years of marketing experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA (or equivalent, e.g., PharmD) preferred

  • 8+ years of experience and a track record of success in a series of commercial roles of increasing scope, scale and complexity, with leading companies in the biopharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience in biotech/pharmaceutical marketing and promotions

  • Experience in global commercial and/or strategic regional roles

  • Demonstrated record of strong commercialization planning and execution

  • A best-in-class marketer with experience developing and implementing innovative global marketing and commercial strategies for pipeline products, successfully launching therapeutic products to maximize commercial value. Prior experience launching multiple products in diverse therapeutic areas, including inflammation disease areas. A solid foundation in strategic marketing.

  • Exceptional communications skills and professional, proactive demeanor

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience representing the commercial voice on global product teams

205,697.00 USD - 240,244.00 USD
