SUPPLIER GOVERNANCE MANAGER

What you will do
In this vital role you will be responsible for providing ongoing supplier governance oversight, encourage sharing best practices and developing improvements.
You will work with suppliers and internal customers (typically up to Director level) to identify, manage, escalate and resolve issues related to supplier performance as well as measure supplier performance, identify, assess and lead supplier risk.
- Drive operational excellence in R&D Supplier Governance (RDSG) team by managing and overseeing governance processes across suppliers
- Ensure supplier oversight aligns with Amgen processes
- Facilitate governance meetings with key suppliers, including scheduling, minutes, and action follow-ups
- Support supplier selection and development based on business needs
- Identify and implement process improvements for supplier management by standardize and enforce best practices across supplier types
- Liaise with functional areas across the R&D organization to align supplier strategies with business needs
- Contribute to or lead departmental and cross-functional initiatives

You will be joining a global distributed team part of Amgen’s Global Development Operations (GDO) function that ensures governance and oversight of suppliers, supporting phase 1 to 4 clinical trials.

- Degree educated
- Clinical research experience in biopharmaceuticals (biotech, pharma, or CRO)
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations, and international regulatory guidelines
- Experience with clinical research suppliers (e.g., Full Service or FSP model (CROs, Site Management Organization, Patient recruitment, data management, clinical trial technology etc)
- Strong project management, process improvement, and metric tracking skills
- Experience in a global, matrix organization
- Proficiency in meeting management best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
