What you will do

In this role you will be part of the Italy Leadership Team, reporting to the Healthcare Compliance Executive Director. You will promote and support adherence to Healthcare Compliance requirements (internal and external) in the Italy affiliate and distributors. You will promote and engage company leadership in promotion and other activities aimed at the development of culture of ethics and integrity in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for defining the Italy site compliance strategy & to support the business using a risk-based approach to assess business impact;
  • Serve as a member of the Italy Management Team and local Data Privacy Lead;
  • Act as a senior contact for Italy with the Compliance Leads, regional Healthcare Compliance, providing strategic advice;
  • Represent the Italy site within World Compliance and Business Ethics Function, while supporting Regional Investigation Team, ABAC team, Global Monitoring, Corporate Audit, International Platform;
  • Support development compliance and business drivers, goals and strategies, advocating for compliance within the business;
  • Oversee and implement (within the Italy site) Amgen’s Corporate Compliance Programs and policies and International compliance standards and procedures;
  • Interact with and successfully influence all levels of staff in the site to accomplish compliance initiatives and goals;
  • Cover the range of compliance themes, such as Anti-Corruption and Bribery, Data Privacy issues, investigations and protocol, trade compliance, managing distributor relationships from a Compliance view;
  • Leading and supporting various working groups aimed at the development and implementation of the programs associated with patient centricity, value-based healthcare, digital health, customer excellence, cross-functional work, ethical leadership and communications at OUS level;
  • Drive and oversee risk assessments, self reviews and participate in assurance and investigation activities;
  • Oversee (and in coordination with relevant functions) corrective action implementation for Italy site;
  • Potentially serve as a line manager to junior compliance staff members.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor/ Masters degree in Science or Law
  • Fluency in English
  • At least 5 years experience in pharma/ biotech business
  • 10 years compliance related experience
  • Knowledge about applicable laws and regulations
  • Risk management & analysis
  • Compliance program effectiveness assessment
  • Policies & procedures development and implementation
  • Training, education & coaching
  • Collaboration with monitoring, audit and investigation teams
  • Subject matter expertise in ABAC and prevention of off-label promotion
  • Working with cross-functional teams
