Primary Purpose:
Supports organization's processes for developing high quality proposals and competitive price offers for hospitals and hospital systems located throughout the United States. In addition to the general functions of a Proposal Specialist III, this position has oversight responsibility for gathering, analyzing and monitoring information with regard to client contracts and relationships. Will provide ongoing reviews, value analysis, and audits of client accounts and contracts. Assists with the development of tactics to maintain optimal client relationship value.

Essential Functions:
Works with the sales, marketing, and operations departments to solicit, review, and write responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals).
Identifies innovative ways for improving efficiency of proposal process and aligning value and offer with the needs of our customers and the best interests of ARUP.
Possesses complete knowledge of company, product and industry.
Analyzes client relationship quality.
Analyzes mix/margin/spend of clients.
Manages client contract obligations (rebates, pricing credits, GPO Admin Fees, etc.)
Works with contract administration to develop contract terms.
Utilizes knowledge of various price models and market pressures to direct price strategies in day-to-day pricing operations.
Trains and mentors Proposal Specialist I, II, & III.
Manages Project Folder and incoming pricing requests
Assists with the development of tactics to improve suboptimal clients.
Acts as a liaison with AEs, RVPs and National Accounts Management to identify opportunities to optimize client value and profitability.
Completes special projects as assigned by the Proposal/Contact Manager
Analyzes logistics/Exception Handling/client services to “right size” cost structure of individual clients.
Works with Technical Product Managers to review/assess client mix, relationship strategies and to communicate to RVPs, AEs and National Accounts Management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical and Other Requirements:
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
