Introduction to role:
Are you ready to drive and support projects from initiation implementation within agreed constraints of time, budget, and quality? As an Associate Strategic Project Manager (ASPM), you will have the responsibility for the project team and AZ-only budget (non-alliance). You will shape solutions, ensure that business requirements are effectively captured, and have a good knowledge of different supplier solutions that could support projects. You will also be responsible for risk management, benefits & value management, and as appropriate resolves or raises identified risks and issues.
Accountabilities:
As an ASPM, you will drive and facilitate planning, coordination, and completion of diverse projects and activities within the assigned SPM team. You will manage the timelines for business planning cycles, specifically integrated Medical Affairs Plan. You will also support Franchise Head and Finance Business Planning Lead with budget management and partner with commercial business partners for franchise level coordination pertaining to AZ-only brand budgets (non-alliance brands). You will provide operational leadership support to the Medical Affairs Franchise team in the successful delivery of assigned projects within the Franchise and in collaboration with cross-functional teams across the Oncology Business Unit.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.A.)
- 0-2 years of work experience required
- Previous Project Management experience working in a matrix organization
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Medical Affairs and/or Oncology experience is a plus.
- MBA or advanced degree in Business/Finance
- Experience with Six Sigma or Agile Project Management
