Description:

The Associate Director, OC Marketing will develop and drive a robust commercial & customer targeting strategy for LYNPARZA in Ovarian Cancer, focused primarily on LYNPARZA’s 1L Maintenance indications. The OC indications represent a significant commercial opportunity in an area of high unmet need. This role will develop and implement robust HCP & Account level engagement plans inclusive of building and executing a novel customer targeting playbook, which will require you to lead and collaborate effectively with key cross-functional partners including Field Sales, NPP / Omnichannel, Regional Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Access Strategy & Precision Medicine.

This position will report directly into the US LYNPARZA Ovarian Marketing Lead and will work closely with our alliance partner, Merck, and in close partnership with the broader ovarian cancer marketing teams.

This position is based at our Gaithersburg, MD (Washington DC Metro area), headquarters for our US Oncology and the Oncology Business Unit. Gaithersburg, MD is one of over 400 sites here at AstraZeneca, providing a collaborative environment where everyone feels comfortable and able to be themselves, which is at the core of AstraZeneca’s priorities. Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with experience in one or more of the following: managed markets, brand marketing, sales, market research/analytics, strategic planning
  • Prior in-line HCP marketing experience including NPP / Omnichannel

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA in relevant field
  • Oncology or specialty care experience highly preferred
  • Understanding of U.S. Oncology landscape including Community oncology and Hospital oncology dynamics, GPOs, Payer landscape, Specialty Pharmacy stakeholders & Precision Medicine
  • In-depth Marketing experience (developing brand strategy, performing positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting, providing direction on annual budget planning)
  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient marketing)
  • Experience working in ‘commercial alliance/partnership’ environment
