To achieve our ambition, we are currently looking for a Therapeutic Area Lead to our Respiratory & Immunology team in Sweden.

What you’ll do

As a TAL, you will be a line manager and crucial part of the cross-functional team, responsible for outlining and driving successful execution of the therapeutic area medical strategy and Medical Activity Plan. You will translate scientific knowledge and external insights into strategies that support decision making and business success.

Other responsibilities include

As a TAL, you will build and prioritize a medical team of excellence to ensure the success of the portfolio. You will support team development, focusing on the consolidation of its strengths and improvement areas. You will actively contribute to the development and implementation of the cross-functional Business Plan. You will analyze products in early development or in the portfolio, identifying their potential future use and business opportunities for the company. You may also act as Nordic Scientific Lead.

In order to succeed you have

  • Preferably Medical education or Pharmacist
  • In-depth therapeutic area knowledge across the Respiratory and Immunology spectrum
  • Shown cross-functional experience and collaboration with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Advocacy
  • Ability to travel to external meetings and congresses
  • Track record of working with Evidence Generation
  • Success of Medical Affairs Plan deliverable including experience of coaching in field
  • Experiences in a senior medical lead role or indirect leadership in medical affairs
  • Experience from the entire spectrum of drug development relevant for a marketing company
  • Shown success in the majority of marketing company medical affairs initiatives (e.g. the medical affairs toolbox)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Innovative approach with experiences in external collaborations that has changed clinical practice.
  • Experience working in Global Medical Affairs
  • Postgraduate degree in business or management development
  • Clinical and/or research experience within the relevant therapeutic area
