Job Title: Connectivity – Subject Matter Expert for Network Operations

Introduction to role:
Join us as a Subject Matter Expert for Network Operations at AstraZeneca, a world-leading Pharmaceutical company operating in over 100 countries. This role is an integral part of our large Network support and maintenance function, spanning several continents. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will lead the Troubleshooting, Development, and Implementation of network primarily on Cisco Technologies with additional Load balancer, Wireless services. You will manage all aspects of the network environment, leveraging technology to impact patients and ultimately save lives.

Accountabilities:
Your primary responsibility will be working on proactive-reactive Incident/SR/changes/SIP related to Network and Network security technologies (Switching/Routing/Firewall/LB/Cloud). You will be accountable for meeting the delivery targets set by management and ensuring that delivery is within and better than prescribed SLA levels. You will also manage 24x7 monitoring of Network availability, performance, and initial triage of related incidents. Additionally, you will work on Service improvement activities, provide automation solutions to benefit the network operations team, and create policies and procedures related to the Networking environment.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required, MS or MBA preferred.
- 8 to 10 years’ experience performing various tasks in Network Operations center & Hands-on Enterprise Network Troubleshooting.
- At least 5+ years’ experience of working in Global NOC environment.
- Strong Knowledge on Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Zone based Firewall, Firepower, Cisco ISE.
- Knowledge in Switching technologies - Cisco 9300/9500, Stackwise-virtual, Nexus – 9K,7K, 5K, 2K,VPC, FEX, Cisco VSS.
- Strong knowledge in Routing & WAN technologies: Handling Cisco ISR/ASR routers, Troubleshooting Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Implementing Routing Protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent presentation skills. Well versed in English.


- Good knowledge of Release Management, Incident Management and Problem Management processes.
- Experience working in globally distributed team.
- Knowledge in ticketing system like Remedy, SNOW.
- CCNP(R/S or Security) certification required. CCSA/CCSE and ITIL certifications are added advantage.
