Associate Director, Medical Communications & Information

Location: Barcelona, Spain

Join us as an Associate Director, Medical Communications & Information, and play a pivotal role in the execution of US & Global MC&I brand/therapeutic area deliverables. This includes responding to medical inquiries from healthcare professionals, reviewing/providing scientific consult to promotional materials, and developing scientific content for internal and external partners. This position is part of the Content Excellence Team within MC&I, and reports directly to an MC&I Director within the respective TA team.

Accountabilities:

As an Associate Director, you will be encouraged to deliver on an existing pipeline of work, using new operating efficiencies and resources to support prioritisation and capacity management. You will demonstrate scientific and business expertise relevant to therapeutic areas, stay abreast with the latest changes and trends in the therapeutic area landscape, and ensure that the medical content developed aligns with MC&I priorities and the overall medical strategy.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred), Pharmacology, Science, or equivalent clinical experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry-based Drug/Medical Information/Scientific Communications or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven expertise in drug information communication and management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply local regulatory (e.g. FDA), legal, and compliance requirements to Medical Affairs activities and drug information delivery
  • Understanding of the information needs for various customer segments
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Expert Scientific Knowledge
  • Drug Information Management Expertise
  • Medical / technical writing experience
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a sophisticated and evolving environment

Desirable:

  • Clinical Pharmacy experience with patient care exposure
  • Drug Information Residency or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with Commercial or Brand Teams
  • Medical information call centre experience
  • Experience leading projects and teams
  • Managed Markets or HEOR experience
  • Pharmacy Licensure preferred
