ABOUT OUR R&D IT PLATFORM:

In Early Science, we have highly skilled scientists in our labs who experiment and support complex drug projects. The environment is driven by scientific and technical innovation with a high level of diversity in workflows, data, and vendors.

The Digital Lab (DL) platform, in collaboration with early R&D scientists, strives to create an IT environment that digitises the experimental process and makes experimental data more available and re-usable. The ELN Product Team strives to enhance collaboration between scientists, streamline data management, and support the efficient use of ELNs across research teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The ELN Product Team – DevOps Engineer will work on the overall development, validation, integration, modification, operation, and maintenance of the ELN. A key responsibility will be to design, develop, implement, and maintain integrations between various applications and the ELN, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient communication.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

As an ELN Product Team - DevOps Engineer specializing in Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs) support, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of ELN systems within the organization's scientific research environment.

  • Work closely with scientific teams to enhance ELN configurations, promoting collaboration and data sharing.
  • Set up monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution, minimizing disruptions in research workflows.
  • Implement ELN-specific security practices to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with researchers to understand ELN requirements and optimize integrations with lab tools.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ELN configurations and integrations.
  • Pragmatic, hands on mentality.
  • Understanding knowledge gaps and have an openness to raise them.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with process tools like GIT, JIRA, Confluence and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, GitOps, Infrastructure as code, monitoring/observability concepts and related tools.
  • Experience in building applications incorporating cloud (AWS), API’s, microservices, containerisation and serverless architectures.
  • Experience of delivering and supporting software in a DevOps environment.
  • Exposure to analytics tools like Power BI (Business Intelligence).
  • Excellent problem solving and adaptability.
  • Willing to work in cross-cultural environment across multiple time zones.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team to achieve objectives.
  • Eager to learn and develop new tech skills, as required.
  • Good written and verbal skills, fluent English.
  • Advanced experience with ELN platforms and their technical integration into biopharmaceutical laboratory workflows.
  • Expertise in handling scientific data formats, laboratory instrument integrations, and industry-specific technical compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with advanced GxP regulations and practices.
