Principal Enterprise Architect - HR

Introduction to role

Are you passionate about delivering business impact through innovative IT solutions? As a Principal Enterprise Architect - HR Technologies, you will play a crucial role in crafting the future of our HR practice by developing multi-year technology roadmaps and ensuring that architecture decisions support both business and technology strategies. Join our special team passionate about enterprise architecture for our Enabling Units, including Human Resources, Finance, Global Business Services, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Accountabilities

• Lead the identification, design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level HCM, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into solutions.
• Own and maintain the technology roadmap for the HR domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standard methodologies.
• Innovate and explore new technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes.
• Provide strategic guidance and oversight for the integration of new systems and technologies.
• Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of enterprise solutions.
• Mentor and support IT teams and collaborators to strengthen architectural understanding and capabilities across the organization.

Essential Skills/Experience

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information System or related field
• 10+ years of experience in architecture
• Experience producing application strategies/roadmaps for a global enterprise in their focused architecture domain
• Proven architecture experience with at least one HCM implementation (ideally Workday) for a global organisation.
• Understanding of Human Capital Management, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, eLearning and/or Employee Experience.
• Experience with large product evaluations, case formulation
• Experience developing and influencing business strategies with cross functional team impact.
• Experience developing and leading innovative solutions
• Proven experience of leading change and challenging approaches/ideas
• Experience developing and managing relationships with third party suppliers
• Experience working within and developing policies, procedures and guidelines within a secure, quality, and compliance environment
• Strong networking skills with good internal/external links
• Strong communication, facilitation and relationship building skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
• Awareness of developments in the marketplace and understand the relevance and potential impact to AZ IS
• Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and shown ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
• People Development experience
• Experience working in pharmaceutical, healthcare and biotech industry
• Familiarity with data science, AI/ML architecture
• Knowledge of HR technologies: Workday, Cornerstone SBX, Degreed, Workhuman, eightfold.ai
• Knowledge of AWS, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Mulesoft, Snaplogic
• Demonstrated initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working
• Good eye for business
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry and of competitor activity, on a particular architecture and Information Management
