Senior Manager, RDU Contract Management

This is what you will do:
The Senior Manager, US Market Access Contracts Management is responsible for the lifecycle management process of agreements with US Managed Care Organizations (Commercial and Government (ex: Medicare Advantage and Part D)) Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies, GPO and other segments and channels as required. A successful candidate will ensure agreements meet business, legal, operational and compliance needs in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical market access several therapeutic areas. This role collaborates and aligns with Market Access Field Directors and reports to the Senior Director, Contract Strategy, Management and Pricing.
You will be responsible for:
- Drafting, redlining and reviewing multiple documents including executive summaries, four-corner agreement documents, agreements, templates, RFPs, Bids, amendments, correspondence, etc. relating to various Market Access Customers
- Collaborate with Market Access Payor Marketing to implement the appropriate product contracting strategies for existing and pipeline products
- Reviewing Market Access documents with cross-functional partners ensuring the agreements have the necessary language to clarify the business intent, are operational and meet legal and compliance requirements
- Presenting potential benefits and risks of contracting scenarios and coordinating with legal and Market access team members to develop alternative solutions
- Negotiating agreement language to resolve issues, problems, and potential future concerns
- Researching and analyzing the legislative and managed care environment and coordinating with Market Access Payor Marketing and Field Directors to provide innovative contracting recommendations for existing product strategies and new launches that align with business and compliance objectives
- Efficiently communicating negotiation status and results with internal business partners, ensuring effective implementation of strategic objectives
- Building, developing, and maintaining tracking of all contract terms (Membership, Formularies, Agreement Requirements, Provisions, etc.) for various internal reporting needs
- Working across the organization, including Finance, Market Access Field Teams, Market Access Payor Marketing, Legal, Market Access Rebate Adjudication, Government Price Reporting, Analytics and Pricing, to confirm or request information necessary to support accurate and timely rebate and invoice processing (i.e., plan eligibility, formulary validation, etc.)
- Assisting with the development and ongoing contract reporting needs related to Market Access documents on a regular and/or ad-hoc basis as requested
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of contracting experience preferable within biopharmaceutical, provider and US managed care industries, including including but not limited to specialty pharmacy and US managed care payors (health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, etc.).
- Experience with Specialty and/or Rare Disease therapeutic areas
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, work independently as well as with a team, possess strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Work in a demanding work environment, flexibility to adhere to unexpected deadlines, willingness to learn new skills, systems and processes.
- A successful candidate, has a patient focused mindset, organized, driven, high attention to detail, accountable, and can achieve high quality results with compliance and integrity.
- Up to 10% travel as required.

We would prefer for you to have:
- High level of proficiency in MS Office software including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Understanding of the US Payor, Channel, and Buy and Bill Reimbursement Landscape
- Experience securing contract access for rare disease medicines
- Experience launching new products and indications
- Knowledge of Government Pricing implications and calculations

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $103,676 - $155,515. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job related knowledge, skills and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity, eligibility to participate in our equity-based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(K) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
