In the Andean Cluster, we have a great opportunity in the city of Bogotá, Colombia for the role of Marketing Company Account Manager (MCAM), with a scope covering the Andean Cluster, Central America, and the Caribbean. You will ensure the effective flow of communications from the Marketing Company (MC) back to Operations and vice versa. The MCAM is an expert in demand management, aligning, developing, and leveraging AstraZeneca's commercial strategies, supply resources, and operational capabilities. Acting to provide business insights, proactively collaborating with Commercial and Finance to balance demand and supply plans and creating supply solutions to help achieve AstraZeneca's bold ambition.

Requirements for the role:

  • University degree
  • More than 5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Advanced English (C1)
  • Ability to influence and direct stakeholder decision-making

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the Integrated Business Planning Process (IBP). The role is a key contributor to the four principles of demand management (demand planning, demand communication, demand influencing, and demand prioritization/management).
  • Ensure market intelligence is clearly captured and documented and is also responsible for forecast validation and challenging, customer service objectives, and Marketing Company's collaboration related to supply issues/product availability management.
  • Responsible for supporting the global supply chain planning process, including setting supply chain parameters, master data quality and governance, arbitration/allocation setting, business continuity plans, and new product launch planning.
  • Act as the primary contact for all MC business strategies impacting Operations.
  • Represent both the MC and global/regional Operations for initiatives related to business development, labeling, product security, packaging and supply chain innovation, asset strategy, late-stage customization, and other improvement initiatives.
  • Develop strong business links, relationships, and influence with the Marketing Company at many levels (Brand Manager Marketing / Finance / Regulatory Director / CFO / Marketing Company President).
  • Collaborate with MC stakeholders in the development of new product launch volumes, pipeline fill, asset change, and product discontinuation volume management, etc.
  • Represent Operations on key supply-related Marketing Company projects.
  • Responsible for supporting the NPI process as outlined in the IBP Guidelines.
  • Support the range rationalization and optimization process.
  • Generate and communicate a balanced and realistic demand plan.
  • Proactively synchronize supply and demand plans to ensure the demand plan can be realized.
  • In periods of issue management, recovery, or arbitration, ensure an appropriate balance between supply and demand to prevent patient impact.
