As Manager, Content and Channels, you will collaborate with the AstraZeneca Corporate Communications team and Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) network to deliver high-quality digital communications that build reputation, earn trust, and drive impact. Working independently and under the direction of the Head of Corporate Digital Communications, you will execute our digital and social media content and channel strategy, support editorial processes, drive effective content operations, publish content, and oversee community management and engagement.
Accountabilities
You will manage the intake of cross-functional programme support requests for AstraZeneca.com and global corporate social media channels. Handling all elements of social media content operations, including asset management, content authoring, and publishing, you will ensure a holistic approach to our multichannel digital strategy. You will also support administrative and operational oversight of our social media management tool, Sprinklr, ensuring proper admin and user access across all corporate social media accounts to reduce risk to the brand and channels.
Working closely with our moderation engagement agency, you will ensure active community management, proper reporting of adverse events and product issues, and proactive issue monitoring and mitigation. As a member of the Centre of Digital Excellence, you will help shape and advance our strategy by exploring and adopting new approaches to remain at the forefront of digital within and beyond the industry. Cultural awareness and the ability to work with teams across corporate communications, including Digital and Social Media, will be key. Alongside content management and social media, experience handling multiple projects and disciplined planning are essential. You will contribute to a positive, collaborative culture as part of the broader Global Corporate Affairs team. Occasional working out of normal office hours may be required.
Essential Skills/Experience
• Excellent standard of written and spoken English.
• Minimum 2 years’ digital communications experience working in a fast-paced global in-house or agency communications team or equivalent environment is essential.
• Proven track record of creating and managing digital and social media content in short, long, graphic, and video formats.
• Able to work with internal stakeholders, agencies and creative teams in providing strategic and creative direction and enforcing guidelines and best practices.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience using social media management system(s) is essential, preferably Sprinklr.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with social media platforms is essential, preferably including LinkedIn, Meta platforms, Twitter/X.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with back-end social media platform operating systems is essential, preferably including LinkedIn Business Manager and Meta Business Manager.
• Experience with community management and engagement.
• Experience in a customer-facing role and establishing working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience working on multiple projects at once, with the ability to plan and prioritise your time, and flex as needed to changing demands.
• Experience with third party and vendor relationships.
• Experience dealing with content standards and managing user reports is desirable.
• Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated sector is desirable.
