The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor I, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Schedule: 3rd Shift/ Sunday -Thursday 11pm - 7:30am

Hourly Rate: $21.64

Shift Differential: 15%

What we’re looking for

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required

· Experience: 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service, spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know a plus, cross referencing and inside sales experience a plus, knowledge of scientific products and services a plus

· Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

  • Able to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations.

  • Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem solving capabilities.

  • Project management skills, ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.

How you will thrive and create an impact

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  • Ensure compliance of activities performed in adherence with defined schedules and quality within a specified area.

  • Act and report on deviations.

  • Act as a key point of contact for all research staff to deal with problems within the laboratories pertaining to stock inventory and dispatching samples

  • Create maintenance and updating relevant documentation in support of service delivery, compliance and training.

  • Report on KPIs, metrics, SLAs and weekly tasks

  • Analyze reports, measurements and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples (biological, chemical, radioactive etc) globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea)

  • Dispatch goods ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and meets GxP and Health and Safety standards.

  • Resolve or escalate complex queries from the customer in particular relating to internal and external delivery.

  • Maintain building security standards at all times in line with DfT requirements.

  • Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections as needed. Escort regulatory inspectors on audits/tours of the dispatch facility and provide documents and explanation concerning the processes and facility.

  • Ensure that materials with special handling, storage or distribution requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature sensitive material) are properly monitored.

  • Archiving of documentation•Ensure that all necessary documents and authorisations are available in time for every shipment e.g. COAs, TASCA import license.

  • Ensure that incoming materials are of suitable quality and quantity, received to inventory correctly and available for use on the date required.

  • Liase with Government bodies/customers/regulated agents/suppliers/planning office to resolve complex queries about the delivery and collection of research samples​.
