The Opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to prepare general accounting including daily journal vouchers, support periodic financial closing and reports, A/R, A/P, expense report, VAT reports, treasury, and various financial duties including SOX documentation, and a part of SAP system maintenance etc.
In addition, this role includes to support finance manager for FP & A areas such as budget, management meeting, financial statement analysis and KPI follow up etc.

This position will report to the Avantor Korea Finance Manager based in Korea and will require interaction with all departments internal & external stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Degree in Accounting/Business Administration
  • Experience: Accounting, Costing and Financial reporting, preferably with Multi-National Companies – at least 6 years working experience.
  • Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Advanced SAP User with Microsoft Excel, Words and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Skills/Competencies: Result oriented, self-motivated, high work ethic and team player. Honest and poses high level of integrity.
  • Other Skills: Good oral and written communication skills in English

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Prepare the monthly journal vouchers to be posted in the system
  • Prepare the monthly F/S reconciliation to support various financial reports
  • Support finance manager to prepare FP&A areas (FS analysis, Budget setting & gap analysis etc)
  • Prepare VAT report and reconciliation
  • Reconciliation of sales closing data to cash collections including FI(AR) customer master maintenance (eg, daily cash application, check periodic A/R balance etc.)
  • Prepare and review the employee’s expense and invoices for disbursements
  • Prepare the payment of Inter-company balance
  • Maintain FI (AP) vendor master
  • Support and assist the periodic financial reports, forecast, and plan
  • Coordinate and assist external & internal audit as required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies (Travel, Entertainment & Expenses) through audit of expense reports
