The Opportunity:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operation and control of the press.

Avantor is looking for a motivated and team-oriented Production / Warehouse Associate to join our team!

This role will be a full-time, temporary position.

1st Shift (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, and opportunity for OT)

What we’re looking for

  • Education: High School diploma preferred

  • Experience: 0 – 2 years’ related experience

  • Must be able to use proper techniques to lift up to 20 kg.

  • The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important.

  • Good communication skills

  • Basic English skills, written and verbal

  • Fundamental computer skills (typing, using a mouse, recognize icons, open-save-delete documents)

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Ability to shift priorities easily, meeting tight deadlines. Ability to work overtime as required.

  • Responsible work habits: punctual, professional, positive attitude.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Attention to detail

  • Production experience, warehouse experience, first aid qualification, and forklift license are considered assets

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Primary responsibility of role will be to pack boxes in production / warehouse environment.

  • Inspect, check, and document production process activities, maintaining accurate records.

  • Follow end of shift cleaning routine to ensure the press is ready for the next shift.

  • Use and maintain equipment in good working order and report any abnormalities in a timely fashion.

  • Maintain working areas organized and clean to ensure work efficiency and safety.

  • Ensure safety and quality of workmanship, performing final quality control inspection and packaging finished product.

  • Follow materials handling practices appropriate with safety standards, while maintaining minimum wastage.

  • Participate in inventory cycle count programs and accurate record results.

  • May participate in shipping and receiving activities, as necessary.

  • Occasional site maintenance & housekeeping duties, including occasional snow-shoveling.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$39,000.00 - $64,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
