Sr. Supervisor, Customer Contract Operations

The Opportunity:
Avantor is seeking a Sr. Supervisor Customer Contract Operations accountable for managing the customer contract operations function for the company’s North American business units. The Sr. Supervisor will supervise a team involved in the preparation, execution, and management of contracts, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget. The Sr. Supervisor will be responsible to contract administrative deliverables to support the Pricing Transformation Project. The role will also provide strategic oversight, resolve escalated issues, and optimize processes related to the contract lifecycle.
What we’re looking for
Education: BA or BS Degree preferred; a combination of experience and education will be accepted in lieu of degree
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of progressively complex, contracts experience
CCCM, CPCM or CFCM of government contract experience preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of government contract regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in negotiating, drafting, modifying and managing contracts.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Contract Management & Administration
Lead and manage the customer contract lifecycle post award
Ensure that contracts comply with regulations, and organizational policies.
Review contract terms and conditions, identifying potential risks or discrepancies.
Coordinate with legal, finance, and other departments to facilitate the execution of renewals for contracts.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of contract administrators and analysts
Provide training, guidance, and support to staff to enhance contract knowledge and operational efficiency.
Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that encourages continuous improvement.
Process Improvement:
Analyze and improve processes related to customer contract performance, execution, renewals and compliance.
Identify opportunities to streamline operations and enhance the contract management and administrative process.
Implement best practices and ensure the use of contract management software and tools.
Risk and Compliance Management:
Monitor customer contract performance and ensure that contractual obligations are met.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and execution.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and procurement, to ensure alignment on contract terms and deliverables.
Provide updates on contract status, risks, and issues to senior management.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of commercial contracts, amendments, and related documents with an immediate deliverable to support Pricing Transformation
Generate regular reports on customer contract performance, status, and compliance metrics.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$76,000.00 - $127,000.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
