Lodi Quality Operations Engineering is a growing team within the Lodi Quality Organization and has become instrumental in driving continuous improvement to assure product consistency and reliability for sustaining operations. The function’s vision is to synchronize risk-based quality centric decision making with Cepheid’s “A Better Way” to assure products are manufactured as intended.

The Quality Engineering Technician is part of the Quality Operations Engineering Department and will be located On-Site to support 24X7 manufacturing at our Lodi, CA IVD facility. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

The Quality Engineering Technician is responsible for monitoring the technical application of quality management systems within manufacturing to assure compliance with corporate policies, 21CFR820, ISO 13485, the Medical Device Directive and Regulation, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Schedule: 4 Weekdays, 1 Weekend Day – Graveyard Shift 10:30pm to 7:00am.

Occasional flexibility required to support 24X7 manufacturing needs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong working relationships, fostering an environment that values diversity and inclusion.
  • Support Quality and Manufacturing teams in assessing product and process risks, monitoring real-time on-floor processes, and escalating quality related issues as necessary.
  • Monitor production processes and adherence to Quality Management Systems requirements.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High School with over 2 years of experience or Technical Trade degree or Scientific related Associates Degree with over 1 years of relevant experience
  • Highly motivated proactive self-starter that can self-initiate, track, and send status updates on work progress.
  • Ability to understand and interpret quality management system requirements.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Non-conformance process or investigation
  • 24X7 manufacturing production
  • Quality Management System

The hourly range for this role is $25.40/hr - $33.65/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
