We are currently seeking a Senior Application Scientist - Pharmaceutical who will be responsible for designing and performing method development support for pharmaceutical applications in the Generic Pharmaceutical market. This is a hands-on, in laboratory role located in Bengaluru, India.

What we’ll get you doing:

• Developing applications showcasing Phenomenex products for the global Pharmaceutical market.

• Assisting customers with their chromatography challenges by developing applications onsite at Phenomenex to be transferred to a customer site.

• Supporting customers online via email communications (Zendesk ) and live chat

• Creating technical content (Tech Notes, Webinars, Tradeshow Posters, etc.) to showcase Phenomenex products to a global audience.

• Working with R&D, Sales and Marketing to provide input for relevant content for brochures, for website, and seminars.

• Aid in the trouble shooting and technical support of customers and distributors worldwide.

The essential requirements of the role include:

• M.Sc. in Chemistry/M.Pharm. with 10 years HPLC/UHPLC experience OR Ph.D. in Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry with 6 years of HPLC/UHPLC experience.

• Experience developing, HPLC/UHPLC-UV/DAD/ELSD assays for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and pharmaceutical formulations, which includes having a deep understanding of method parameters as well as mobile and stationary phase’s selectivity.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ease with public speaking, along with interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Must possess excellent time management and organizational skills as this role will be responsible for managing and executing their own schedule.

• Experience with LC-MS/MS and sample preparation techniques such as Solid Phase Extraction (SPE).

• Willing to relocate (if necessary) and willing to travel up to 30%.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

• Ability to adapt to and handle competing departmental needs. Experience using Quality by Design (QbD) software for method development.
