The Commercial Excellence Manager will be responsible for enhancing commercial effectiveness by leading competency building, learning & development, and execute training activities across the Greater Asia region to upskill and enhance our sales and marketing teams. This role will also be responsible for designing and executing internal communications programs to build awareness and a better understanding of various ComEx concepts, process and initiatives.

Job Description:

  • Develop, facilitate, deliver region-wide training programs (including BD Way of Selling, BD Way of Marketing, Memorable Messaging, BD Way of Cx) to drive improvements in and harmonize sales & marketing capabilities.
  • Interface and collaborate with country and business teams to understand current capability levels and prioritize training needs.
  • Understand concepts and support training needs related to sales processes, systems, tools, analytics and ad hoc projects.
  • Develop an on-boarding program to accelerate the upskilling of new associates and their alignment to BD’s tools and strategic processes.
  • Collaborate across regional and country commercial effectiveness teams to maintain awareness of current capability levels and commercial effectiveness strategies and activities.
  • Develop assessments, competency frameworks, coaching, and programs to develop a best-in-class sales organization.
  • Coordinate and support Customer Experience (Cx) strategy development and improvement projects.
  • Regional responsibility to manage marketing and sales platforms including training, user adoption and management, metrics and reporting and compliance acting as the main point of contact with global teams.
  • Design and execute an internal communications strategy to raise awareness of progress on various initiatives in ComEx, share best practices and drive an agile, customer-centric mind-set.

Education & Experience Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or business discipline.
  • Experience with designing, deploying and facilitating sales & marketing training programs (experience with different models) at a regional level, preferably across multiple businesses.
  • Shown a keen understanding of Commercial Excellence and experience in driving various initiatives (Omnichannel, Segmentation, GTM, CRM, Analytics).
  • Demonstrated successful track record of cross-country/cross-BU implementation of complex projects.
  • Proven experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-functionally influence associates and mobilize functions in a teamwork and collaborative style.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicating with and presenting to selling teams, marketers, senior leaders across geographies.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management.
  • Prior experience in sales and/or marketing roles desirable.
  • People management experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience running internal and/or external communications campaigns and proficiency in digital tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, great organizational skills and ability to work independently.
