Assistant Manager, WW Supply Planning creates an optimized Master Production Schedule (MPS) for Manufacturing Plants by understanding replenishment demand and factoring in various constraints like plant capacity, inventory targets, production volume variance, distribution cost etc. to ensure high levels of customer service by minimizing backorders and maximizing line fill rates.

Job Responsibilities:

Master Production Scheduling:

  • Ensure optimized Master Production Scheduling for assigned Portfolios at their respective manufacturing plants
  • Optimized MPS should be the best possible trade-off between level loading of resources at plant and inventory in the network to serve the replenishment demand
  • Work closely with both demand team and plant team to understand risks and opportunities. Align the MPS plan to mitigate the identified risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and Present Long Term Planning (LTP) volumes for assigned Portfolios
  • Volume Variance Tracking

Supply Planning:

  • Ensure supply to market by articulating fulfilment & production plan in response to demand change.
  • Plan replenishment across the Distribution Centre network by maintaining the accuracy of plans to reflect feasible replenish plans.
  • Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues and recommend mitigating actions.
  • Implement and maintain Inventory and Material Management Strategies for all Finished Goods by regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (e.g., reorder point, safety stock, and ABC categorization)

Continuous Improvement:

  • Execute a minimum of 2 Continuous Improvement (CI) Projects each financial year
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in all aspects of the planning systems

Master Data Management:

  • Ensure Master Data Setup in SAP R/3 and SAP APO/SCM, as per the guidelines issued from the Everest/System Core Team to suit the business scenarios for the assigned portfolios

Review Meetings:

  • Participate in Worldwide Supply Review,
  • Participate Weekly Planner Meeting,
  • Lead Production Consensus Meeting, and
  • Lead Plant Supply Review
  • Lead Product Platform Supply Review
  • Lead S&OE Supply Review

Analysis and Reporting:

  • Prepare & publish monthly Demand
  • Prepare & publish Production Trend 3x/mth
  • Prepare & publish BO projection report 2x/mth
  • Prepare & publish Inventory & volume report 2x/mth
  • Prepare the plant capacity utilization report
  • Escalate critical Supply Issues to enhance visibility around hot supply issues

Liaise:

  • Communicate with critical customers and partners

Metrics and Process Compliance:

  • Accountable for APEX Process Compliance and documentation of communications and work-files
  • Directly accountable for WW Metrics – BO, FDS / Inventory Turns for all WW Locations (except Regional Locations supplied from Singapore Hub DC)
  • Accountability for Volume and Mix Compliance
  • Accountability for Plant committed volume base on OIBT commitment.
