General Description:

BeiGene is seeking a Senior Manager Compliance professional to support and advance BeiGene’s Compliance program in Latin America. This position will also support global teams and projects as needed. As BeiGene advances its global presence, this position will require a self-starter who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and has a pragmatic approach to identifying and managing risks. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and best practices in the Latin America region.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the continued development of BeiGene’s Healthcare Compliance Program in Latin America, consistent with BeiGene’s Code of Conduct and Healthcare Compliance policies, as well as applicable industry standards and best practices.
  • Advise internal teams (including Commercial, Medical, and Clinical) on a broad array of healthcare compliance matters, including antibribery and anticorruption, interpretation of company policies, communications about BeiGene products, and interactions with healthcare professionals, healthcare organizations, patients, and government entities.
  • Design and implement regional solutions that adhere to both BeiGene's Code of Conduct and the relevant local laws in Latin America, emphasizing a practical and effective approach.
  • Proactively identify industry trends and practices applicable to healthcare compliance; establish and advise on policies and procedures to ensure the continued effectiveness of BeiGene’s Healthcare Compliance Program.
  • Conduct internal reviews, risk assessments, and monitoring and auditing to ensure that compliance policies and procedures function as intended; identify potential compliance risks and implement plans for remediation when necessary.
  • Lead compliance investigations within Latin America region, including the management of any resulting corrective actions plans.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance training consistent with BeiGene policies, applicable laws, and industry standards; lead and maintain effective compliance communications with business partners to promote compliance awareness.
  • Support global and regional compliance projects on an as-needed basis, including support of commercial, medical, and clinical teams and activities.

Minimum Requirements – Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science required; J.D. or other advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5-plus of combined experience in healthcare compliance, including in-house experience (ideally at a multinational Pharma group).

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in compliance with laws, regulations, and industry codes relevant to the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience with compliance rules across varied jurisdictions is a plus; a willingness to learn and ability to adapt core compliance principles to unfamiliar situations is required.
  • Strong expertise in compliance with laws, regulations, industry codes, and best practices in the Latin America region.
  • Ability to apply a risk-based analysis to compliance issues and demonstrate creativity and flexibility in developing solutions that satisfy both business requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written; strong interpersonal skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required; fluency in Portuguese is strongly preferred.

Travel: 10% - 15%

Computer Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
