We are seeking a talented and engaging global financial leader with a manufacturing FP&A specialization to be part of the BeiGene Finance Leadership Team reporting to the CFO. The VP, Technical Operations Finance will lead the business partnering support to BeiGene’s Global Technical Operations (GTO) network which includes manufacturing, supply chain, quality and other functions. The ideal candidate will serve as the global finance leader and lead a global finance team who provide controllership, FP&A and decision support to the Tech Ops Functional Heads as well as providing partnership and support in governance and other committees.

The VP, GTO Finance will lead financial and business process improvements and enterprise optimization initiatives as well monthly/quarterly results vs. financial plan and financial metrics to support improved organizational decision making. The leader will play a key role in partnering with HR, Procurement, IT, Accounting and the broader Finance team on organizational efficiency and process improvement initiatives to improve resource allocation, transparency and drive organizational cost savings.

The successful candidate will have deep bio-pharma experience with an understanding of manufacturing, quality, and supply chain processes, working in a global environment and leading and delivering business process improvement initiatives with a clear ROI/organizational benefit. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the role with communicate frequently with global teams.

Essential Functions of the job:

  • Partner with the GTO Leadership Team by providing insights, analyses, trends and thought partnership for improved business decision making and business results.

  • Lead the planning and execution of the GTO Finance function with the annual operating plan, long range plan, budget and quarterly forecasting processes.

  • Lead and develop a global team of high-performing FP&A professionals, providing coaching and guidance to ensure effective team collaboration and business partner support.

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts around processes and systems to ensure planning and execution is efficient.

Other Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of financial planning and finance related roles, preferably in the pharma, biotech or life sciences industry

  • Strong business partnering, influencing and analytical skills with demonstrated business insights and process impact in previous roles

  • Familiarity with applicable software and reporting system applications

  • Must demonstrate a conceptual and business-oriented approach to communicating accounting practices and be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-financial business leaders.

  • Strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements, including the use of new technology and automation tools.

  • Ability to work in a global, fast-paced environment with great attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage critical timelines.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to maintain a strong network of contacts with external and leading treasury advisors.

  • Strong work ethic with a hands-on, resourceful approach and emphasis on teamwork and integrity

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will lead a global team of finance professionals.

  • Provide coaching and development to direct reports and their teams.

  • Complete all HR-related processes such as Talent Review, Performance Management and Compensation Planning.

Travel: 15-20%

Salary Range: $295,700.00 - $385,700.00 annually

Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
