General Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead the establishment of a new legal entity BeOne Medicine Ltd Belgrade, and build business operations in Serbia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, strategic planning, operations management, regulatory affairs, partnership management, and the local pharmaceutical market, especially in oncology. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to navigate the local business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a New Legal Entity: Lead the process of setting up a new legal entity in Serbia, including compliance with local regulations, registration, and legal documentation
- Develop Business Strategies: Create and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and market penetration in Serbia
- Build Operations: Build and oversee all aspects of business operations in line with go-to-market business model
- Market Analysis: Monitor pharmaceutical market trends and dynamics, conduct market research and/or collect information from relevant market resources, customer engagements to identify business opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, suppliers, and government officials.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and standards governing business operations.
- Regulatory Affairs: Manage regulatory affairs activities, including obtaining necessary approvals, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and liaising with regulatory bodies.
- Partnership Management: Work closely with local distributor partners and other partners to ensure effective collaboration and mutual success.
- Market Access Strategies: Develop and implement market access strategies to ensure the successful introduction and distribution of products, particularly in the oncology sector.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team to achieve business objectives.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial plans, and control expenditures to ensure profitability.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to track progress and make data-driven decisions.
- Brand Representation: Represent BeOne company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.
Requirements:
- MD, PhramD or DMD is a must. MBA or similar education is a plus
- 10-15 years progressive experience in pharma ideally gained in Commercial or Medical leadership roles in Serbia
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in country operation set up and leadership
- Track record of success in driving business growth and market expansion
- Strong understanding of Serbian pharmaceutical market dynamics, experience in oncology is a must
- Proven experience in developing and implementing market access strategies.
- Experience in drug launch, reimbursement negotiation and other related activities
- Ability to develop a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis and trends to improve overall business outcomes
- Ability to identify and appropriately build and maintain long-term, sustainable relationships with customers, external stakeholders, and key influencers
