Sr Medical Liaison Manager Biosimilars/Immunology (f/m/d)

About This Role:
The Sr. Medical Liaison Manager (Sr. MLM) Biosimilars/Immunology is responsible for continuous scientific exchange with HCPs and key medical experts in Germany in the fields of rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, ophthalmology and Biogen pipeline immunology indications. You will contribute to the medical-scientific strategy and be responsible for its implementation in the field. This includes all medical scientific topics like developing presentations, one to one discussion with leading experts, identifying opportunities for evolving standards of care in biosimilars/immunology. Furthermore, you will engage in developing and executing medical education activities in collaboration with the medical scientific community, understanding the current national disease registries as well as developing and implementing stand-alone projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Understand the scientific-medical landscape in the given indications in Germany; build and maintain trustful relationships with the relevant scientific experts and stakeholders
  • Identify critical medical-scientific issues, preparing scientific communication documents to support the field and office teams
  • Cross-functional collaboration and exchange with the Biogen office (Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Compliance, Legal) and field Sales teams
  • Plan and coordinate medical events, including national congresses, optimizing the strategic medical content and introducing innovative formats
  • Strategize and manage materials, identifying new medical-scientific topics for incorporation into marketing documents; collaborate in medical review process
  • Execute initiation, coordination, and technical oversight of updates to marketing materials, maintaining compliance with current medical knowledge and scientific standards
  • Facilitate medical coaching and training for opinion leaders, preparing and supporting presentations, advisory boards, digital events, and publications
  • Conduct strategic screening of the medical landscape and competitors, curating and nurturing relationships with experts and opinion leaders
  • Oversee the development and coordination of the Medical Advisory Board concepts, ensuring regular engagement with key medical experts (KMEs)
  • Contribute to the annual Integrated Product Plan (IPP) in alignment with business strategy
  • Handle second-level medical inquiries, addressing questions about product use, efficacy, side effects, treatment guidelines, and study results
  • Deliver internal medical education and training to various Biogen departments

With a proven track record in managing medical content and coordinating cross-functional teams and effective communication, you easily interact with top-tier medical experts and opinion leaders confidently. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are adept at managing multiple projects with precision and poise. You are talented in organizing and self-sufficient ways of working and are able to manage medical field responsibility for the whole of Germany, combining face-to-face and virtual interaction settings.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Medical degree; Life science degree (advanced terminal degree preferred: MD, PhD, PharmD) or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience including work in pharmaceutical industry
  • Preferably, medical/scientific experience in biosimilars and/or immunology and therapy areas rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, ophtalmology
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Legal and Compliance environment
  • Understanding of GCP / knowledge of clinical operations and conduct of clinical trials would be an advantage
  • Understanding of health economics and German system
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Scientific acumen: strong skills demonstrating data comprehension, critical appraisal, synthesis interpretation and delivery of data/information
  • Good customer-relations and networking capacities
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Willingness to travel
