Research Specialist* Genomics Development

Your main responsibilities:

• Following standard operating procedures (SOP), including detailed documentation of the steps taken in the provided documentation systems (electronic or paper based)

• Comprehensive and independent experimental planning (planning, implementation, documentation, data analysis, initial interpretation)

• Collection and proper storage of raw data

• Documentation and reporting of deviations from the experimental plans, SOPs or process descriptions

• Active support process improvements (e.g. communication of potential for improvement)

• Assist in ordering, receiving and organizing materials and samples

• Assist with qualification and maintenance of equipment and instruments

• Responsible for cleanliness and order in the laboratory

• Training new employees on current laboratory methods

• Documentation of development results, preparatory documentation for method and device transfer as well as regular reporting of the results

What you have to offer:

• Completed training for a medical technical assistant/laboratory assistant or comparable qualification; Alternatively, completed study in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology or comparable field

• At least 3 years of professional experience in relevant field

• Good knowledge of and experience with bioanalytical, molecular and cell biological methods

• Next Generation sequencing experience will be an advantage

• Good German and /or English skills
