The Position

Biostatistics and Data Sciences (BDS) is a global organization with more than 400 employees within the Human Pharma Business Unit. Working in close collaboration with other functions at Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) and external vendors we combine methodological and technical data science skills with business and scientific expertise to drive smart, timely and confident decision making at every stage of drug development, approval and access.

In the evolution of BDS into an Agile and Lean data science organization, We are a group of motivated and engaged Agile coaches that are supporting clinical development teams at Boehringer Ingelheim in Clinical insights generation.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • In your new role you will guide teams and the organization in their adoption of Agile values, principles, and techniques, and develop groups of people into high-performing teams
  • You will encourage self-organization and enable transparency and product development flow
  • You will facilitate teams in discovery processes, frame discussions, and make meetings and workshops valuable
  • Moreover, you will identify and analyze impediments to performance including outside interference and guide teams towards solutions
  • You will keep abreast of latest developments in Agile working and utilize the derived insights to continuously improve the BDS target operating model
  • You will support the sourcing and oversight of the work of external Agile Coaches


Requirements

  • University degree in the natural sciences, data science, or related field with several years of working experience in clinical development and/or Agile coaching
  • Long term working experience in clinical development and/or Agile coaching
  • Ideally, experience in supporting at least one Agile transformation of large-scale product development
  • Certified in at least one Agile or related framework (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, LeSS, Kanban, Design Thinking)
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
  • Interpersonal savvy and ability to energize others
  • High competency in problem-solving and leading teams towards solutions
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new situations and learn on the fly
  • Fluency in English in speaking and writing, German is desired
