As the world leader in the production of innovative medicines, we at Boehringer Ingelheim offer you the opportunity to get to know the many tasks of the Bioprocess & Analytical Development / Modelling and Data Analysis Division. You accompany us at pre-processing data and take responsibility for machine learning methods.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- During your internship you will learn how to collect, classify and visualize process data
- Pre-processing the data to ensure high quality data for further analysis is another part of your internship
- You will use data analysis and machine learning methods to assist us in building models, diagnose problems, and provide in depth understanding of process data to help in informed decision
- In addition, you will also model, simulate and optimize biopharmaceutical processes using mechanistic models and statistical approaches (e. g. multivariate data analysis), together with your supervisor
Your Profile
- Masterstudents in data science, mathematics, statistics and (bio) process engineering with basic knowledge in essential areas of the biopharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of statistics and machine learning models / methods
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the popular programming languages such as MATLAB and Python
- Dedicated, creative and team-oriented way of working as well as a high willingness to learn
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Fluency in spoken and written English
What we can offer you
- As a student intern, you can expect a fair expense allowance (payment of the currently valid minimum wage)
- You will be given 2.5 days of paid time off for every full month of the internship
- A full-time internship is 37.5 hours a week (a smaller number of hours can be arranged)
- During your final thesis you will receive an allowance of 900€ per month
The duration of the
internship is
6 months followed by
6 months for the
master thesis. The start of the internship can be made several times a year. The start date is as soon as possible. Please enter the desired period in your application.
