The Technician IV, Facilities performs general maintenance to facilities, grounds, and equipment with limited supervision. The incumbent demonstrates advanced knowledge of at least one system or trade to operate assigned equipment or system (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, waste, etc.). The position holder documents completion of work in a computerized maintenance management system.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and performs maintenance activities or operates and monitors equipment with ability to investigate and troubleshoot issues or problems with limited guidance from more experienced personnel
  • Performs advanced activities as it relates to at least one system or trade
  • Interprets and reviews utility, process system/ equipment, plumbing, ductwork plans, architectural, and HVAC P&ID’s with limited guidance
  • Assists the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for equipment/systems
  • Completes all work in accordance with CFRs, GXPs, SOPs, job plans and corporate policies
  • Completes operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation with appropriate detail and accurate information utilizing a combination of paper-based forms and computerized systems
  • Performs various "Housekeeping" activities, (i.e., keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment etc.)
  • Works collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Actively engages team members to seek and aid execute assigned priorities
  • Fosters relationships with team members, internal stakeholders, and contracted vendors to provide quintessential service


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five-plus (5+) years of experience (combination of education, training, and experience) in one or more of the following fields: Carpentry, Welding, Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Mechanics and/or Fire Systems
  • Has or ability to acquire class II, III, or universal (preferred) HVAC certification within one year of employment
  • Has or ability to acquire basic wastewater treatment certification within three years of employment as necessary
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Has well developed problem solving/decision making skills
  • Is an agile learner with demonstrated ability to seek necessary resources and/or skills to advance technical ability and understanding of technical equipment and systems
  • Has knowledge of processes, systems, and resources
  • Possesses basic computer skills required for business communication and documentation of maintenance activities


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
