THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our dynamic team as a Supply Chain Specialist, where you'll be involved at the heart of our operations in MIDI! In this role, you will ensure a smooth flow of supply chain activities with a keen eye on service excellence and cost efficiency by building strong collaborative relationships with internal customers and external service providers. Moreover, you will strive for innovation as you review and enhance processes for continuous improvement and participate in optimization projects that will impact the future of our supply chain.

This position is based in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Head of Logistics & Distribution MIDI.

Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordination of Logistics Providers: Oversee daily operations with third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL) providers, including freight forwarders and customs brokers, to ensure seamless logistics processes.
  • Customs and Import Management: Supervise all activities related to customs and import, inbound logistics, warehousing, transportation, and outbound logistics/export, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Implement strategies for supply chain cost management, efficiency improvements, and optimization of throughput times across the local supply chain.
  • Warehouse and Inventory Management: Manage warehouse operations and goods movement, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory control.
  • Performance Monitoring: Prepare, report, and review key performance indicators (KPIs) for the local supply chain, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and cost management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure local logistics and distribution activities adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with the quality assurance team.
  • Project Support: Contribute to supply chain, logistics, and distribution projects at both MIDI and OPU levels, focusing on process improvement initiatives.


WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated success in supply chain, logistics, or customer service roles.
  • Proactive and structured working style with attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Desired proficiency in SAP and MS Excel for analytics and mass data processing.
  • Strong background in commercial SCM processes, particularly inventory and supplier management.
