CACTUS is a remote-first organisation and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. However, given the business requirements of this role, you are expected to frequently travel to our Mumbai office or Tax Office based on business requirements/meetings or for company/team events.

We are a dynamic & centralized team of talented Tax professionals. The Senior Tax Associate will be part of this centralized team, assisting in tax operations for CACTUS and its overseas entities. This role requires deep expertise in indirect taxation in India and overseas countries, along with experience in direct taxation.

Indirect Taxation

• Handle end- to- end GST and other indirect tax compliances including monthly returns, matching credits, reconciliation and timely filing for India as regions such as APAC, UK, US and the EU.
• Ensure accurate and timely GST refund applications.
• Manage annual GST audits and working closely with the Consultants for GST notices, assessments, appeals and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain up-to-date records to support audit and compliance reviews.
• Assist the function head in managing critical tax issues, implementing key tax projects and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve indirect matters

Direct Taxation

• Responsible for handling direct tax compliances such as withholding tax, advance tax, corporate tax returns etc.
• Working closely with the tax Consultant and internal team to close tax audits, statutory audit, tax assessments, appeals etc.
• Should have keen interest in learning transfer pricing and international tax regulations to support Cactus group entities

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 4 to 5 years’ experience in taxation, preferably in an industry setting.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of GST regulations and direct tax compliance
• Proven experience in handling international tax compliances including APAC, UK, US and EU jurisdictions
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Highly motivated, independent and results-driven with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
