Overview


CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may be required to travel to our Mumbai office based on business requirements or for company/team events.

We’re looking for highly passionate established middleweight and senior graphic designers to join our freelance rooster for future projects. This role will be reporting directly to the Creative Director and liaise with the other member of the creative team, account handling team as well as the members of the operations team.

As we are a 100% remote company with presence in Asia (mainly India), Europe (UK and switzerland) and the US (eastern and central), we are looking for designers that are able to work in one of those timezones.


Responsibilities


  • Develop visually compelling and impactful graphic designs for print and digital media, including brochures, Infographics, posters, graphical abstracts, scientific data creation, marketing, and presentations based on the guidelines and journal specification.
  • Able to build a clear and compelling narrative throughout presentation decks to take clients on a journey that helps them understand your creative ideas.
  • Create scientific, technical, or medical illustrations.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Collaborate with medical writing to create effective and cohesive documents.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines and industry regulations, maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
  • Interpret and transform complex medical and scientific information into engaging and understandable visual content.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new design techniques and technologies to enhance creative output.
  • Should be comfortable to be a team player and an individual contributor.

Qualifications and Prerequisites


  • Minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related industry.
  • Strong expertise in graphic design principles, including layout, grids, typography, color usage, visual balance and photography manipulation.
  • Able to hit the ground running when briefed on a particular project and has strong motivation.
  • Able to come up with different approaches and ideas for a given problem, creating coherent visual systems that include image selection, colours palette and font choices and apply them across deliverables.
  • Proficient in digital design: able to create HTML assets such as websites and microsites, apps, banners and everything else that lives on the digital world.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Figma and Powerpoint. Bonus points for After Effects and Premiere knowledge.
  • You are familiar with a user centric workflow, that starts with wireframes and ends up with a finished layout in Figma.
  • Experience in healthcare or other regulated industry is desirable but not essential.
