CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. However, given the business requirements of this role, you are expected to frequently travel to our Seoul office.

As the Academic Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading field-based and digital marketing efforts aimed at academic customers. From working closely with the B2B sales team to developing content and running events, this role offers a balance of strategy and execution, with a clear line of sight to revenue growth.


Responsibilities


Drive Market Expansion & Partnerships

  • Identify and engage B2B/B2C prospects in the academic space (universities, researchers, students)
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers including faculty and researchers
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to discover new growth opportunities

Plan & Execute Academic Events

  • Organize and manage academic workshops, conferences, exhibitions, and seminars
  • Represent the brand through in-person events and live presentations

Execute Strategic Academic Marketing Initiatives

  • Manage marketing microsites for academic partners
  • Collaborate across teams for email, blog, social media, and newsletter marketing
  • Plan campaigns and generate analytical reports to track performance
  • Develop brochures, gift items, and both online and offline marketing assets

Collaborate Closely with the B2B Sales Team

  • Create customized marketing materials such as proposals and pitch decks
  • Work together to develop targeted marketing strategies

Qualifications and Prerequisites


What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing and public/product presentations
  • Understanding of the academic or education sector
  • Excellent communication and content creation skills
  • Hands-on experience in planning and running academic events/exhibitions
  • Strong initiative, execution skills, and goal-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in English reading/writing, with basic conversational fluency
