The HR User Experience team at Cardinal Health delivers digital experiences to our 50,000 global employees to access services and support across pay & time, benefits, career development and leadership capabilities. We ensure that resources are intuitive, easy to read, searchable and navigable, so that all employees across the globe in various roles, from distribution centers to pharmacies to field sales and corporate offices, can easily get the support they need.
We are looking for a UX Designer who excels in a consultative role, adept at understanding user needs and translating them into effective and intuitive designs. The ideal candidate will ensure our products are accessible and engaging for global users from various backgrounds, with experience in research, design and content creation.
- Research:
- Conduct user research and usability testing to understand employee needs, pain points, and expectations regarding HR systems and processes.
- Analyze data from user feedback, surveys, and usage patterns iterate on designs.
- Monitor adoption and engagement to identify and prioritize areas for improvement.
- Design:
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to align on business goals and articulate user needs through a consultative approach.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and educate stakeholders on the importance of UX.
- Design user experiences (UX) for HR applications across desktop and mobile, including webpages, articles, chatbot interactions and more.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
- Ensure that designs are accessible and inclusive for all employees.
- Maintain design consistency across all projects and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Work with HR teams to implement new designs and features.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the HR user experience and design processes.
- Content:
- Apply visual design skills to develop compelling layouts, images, iconography, and video content.
- Design and maintain a comprehensive library of HR articles, policies and procedures with a logical and intuitive information architecture.
- Organize content into categories, tags, and search terms to facilitate easy navigation and retrieval.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify content gaps and develop solutions.
- Ensure that all content is accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to employee needs.
- Create clear, concise, and engaging articles that are easily accessible to employees.
- Use HTML and CSS to translate article designs into published content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a design or content role, with a proven track record of successful projects reaching diverse global audiences.
- Passion for creating positive user experiences and improving employee engagement.
- Strong consultative skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience working with ServiceNow, HR or employee experience preferred.
- Experience with HTML, CSS or JavaScript preferred.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar preferred.
